Chana salad with curd/ yogurt, sour cream and simple ingredients for a filling, delicious salad. You can skip sour cream and use yogurt fully.
I wanted to try a salad with a creamy yogurt dressing for long time. When I went for vacation to Dubai, I loved the sour cream dip with pepper. I used to have cucumber with it along with hummus, pita bread. I liked the cucumber which was having less water content than the one we get here. It had a pleasant flavour that I used to have as a kid. After coming here, I wanted the same one, so for a change tried the Japanese cucumber and it was similar to what we had there. Hereafter only these Japanese cucumber for a while. I used this cucumber for the salad and totally loved it. Simple and fewest ingredients that we have in our pantry for this salad. How to make chana salad:
- Place thick yogurt, sour cream, pepper, lemon juice and salt in a bowl. Mix well smooth.
- Add cooked chana, chopped onion, cucumber and mix well.
