Coriander leaves made in powder form to mix with rice, sesame oil or ghee, or used as side dish for idli dosai. Step by step pictures post.
coriander leaves powder, is ground with spice for rice. You can make this, keep refrigerated and use it for 15-20 days. It’s very yummy and delicious! Hope you all too like this. Perfect way to utilize coriander leaves when it is in season. Do not let it rot, yes, if you keep and think to use only for garnishing, you may end up in wasting the leaves. Instead, make this thokku and have it with sesame oil and hot rice. It’s healthy too.
I learnt this only after marriage from my mom-in-law. Amma always makes kothamalli thogayal, so for a change this was really good. When I posted, I posted this as thokku, yet I thought thokku means to be oily and in paste form, so coriander leaves podi is better name and changed it.
