Homemade guava ice cream with just 3 main ingredients with available gadgets at home. Creamy, flavourful and delicious ice cream with the pink guava.
I have seen guava ice cream sprinkled with chilli powder in my Instagram feed several times. I wanted to try it out ever since I saw.
Usually we get two varieties of guava here, one seedless variety, whiter pulp and another one is the pink guava with really deep pink juicy pulp and its with seeds.
Though I love both, I prefer the pink guava as I love it's flavor and color. I have both guavas as such or sprinkled with salt, chaat masala and red chilli powder.
I have once tried juice with pink guava and it was super good. But avoid juice as I cannot drink without sugar, also lazy to handle all the mess.
For this ice cream, you can swap the sugar and use condensed milk. It adds taste, flavor and lovely texture too.
You can also use a little of evaporated milk and reduce the cream. With summer coming very soon, why not try this at home?
You can even pour in a box and cut and serve as squares as they do in street food.
Both Vj and Aj liked it, it was really a good treat for this hot climate. Check out my mango tutti frutti ice cream and 2 ingredient nutella banana ice cream.

Ingredients
- 2 Pink guava
- ½ cup Whipping cream or regular cream
- 3 tablespoon Sugar
Instructions
- Take guava and eliminate the top black part. Cut into 4. Eliminate the seed part in the pulp by scooping using a paring knife.
- Chop roughly. Place in a blender along with sugar, grind smoothly.
- Whip cream until soft peak and add ground guava pulp.
- Fold gently and freeze for 8 hrs minimum. Scoop and serve once frozen.
Notes
- If you want you can peel off the skin too.
- Make sure to take out all the seeds, otherwise smooth texture will not be achieved.
- Sugar can be adjusted according to suit your taste.
- I used whipping cream, you can use nestle cream too.
- Instead of sugar, you can use 3 tablespoon of condensed milk as well.
- Use a wide box to freeze your ice cream so that scooping is easy. If it is too hard to scoop, keep aside for 5 mins outside and dip your ice cream scooper in warm water before scooping.

Any tips to prevent formation of ice crystals.
Thank you
Raks Kitchen
You can sure, pink are more flavourful and pulpy, that's why I prefer pink.

This won't give you crystals, you can try exact same. Crystals form if water content is more. Like you add milk or water, here since we use whipping cream (has high fat content) it won't crystallize, it will be really creamy.

Can we use guava juice real fruit waala for ice cream?
Raks Anand
It will give ice crystals, might need more churning, but yes you can use. Watch out for sugar quantity.
