Roohafza with milk, watermelon and ice cubes make this excellent summer cooler drink. Full video and step by step post.
I saw this drink few month back while browsing Instagram. I noted down to try this and got roohafza too. Before trying this drink, I tried roohafza with lemon and ice. It was too strong flavour for me. I was then thinking to try with milk as I was sure it would be good, with milk making the flavors subtle. And I was right, with watermelon and ice along with milk, roohafza was really great and this drink was just amazing. I later tried adding little more rose syrup too, it became super delicious too.

So if you like roohafza, use it, otherwise if you have rose syrup, you can sure try with that too. But do try with roohafza for a different flavour and taste. The watermelon added in this drink tastes great.

    Ingredients

    • Roohafza – 3 tbsp
    • Milk – 2 cups
    • Watermelon, cubes – 1 & ½ cup

    Method

    1. Chop watermelon to bite size pieces. In a mixing bowl, add ice cubes and milk.
    2. Add roohafza. Mix well. Top with cubed watermelon to serve.

    Tips

    • Since I used homogenous pasteurized milk, I used as such. But if you want, you can boil, cool down, chill and use it in this recipe.
    • If you do not have rooh afza or do not like it, you can use rose syrup.
    • If you do not have roohafza, you want that flavour still, use rose syrup plus a tsp of kewra water.
    • Adjust rooh afza according to the sweetness you need. If you want mild flavour but sweetness, add some sugar syrup to milk.
