🍲 Serving suggestions
Apart from serving as side dish for Indian flat breads like phulka, kulcha or roti,
This can be a perfect lunch box idea, you can even wrap the paneer bhurji in roti for your kids. They would love it.
Make it little more spicy and stuff between breads as paneer bhurji sandwich or even dosa.
💭Top tip
- Fresh paneer gives best results. Frozen works but make sure to use a good quality one otherwise it may turn dry.
- Best when had hot.
👩🏼🍳 My notes
It can be made with fresh or frozen paneer. I have updated new steps, video with fresh paneer.
Only difference in process is, if using fresh paneer, recommend using hands to scramble it or grate it. Using mixie is not advisable.
If frozen, thaw by immersing it in hot water for 30 mins. Run it in mixer in small pulses to get it crumbled.
If you have curdled milk, just try drain, make paneer and try paneer bhurji, you can utilize the curdled milk in this way!
📖 Variations
You can be creative with this dish, try adding peas to make matar paneer bhurji or carrot, also will be nice.
If it is too dry, you can add cooking cream or milk to make it moist.
Instead of using red chilli powder, you can use black pepper too.

I prepare it very often with fresh home made paneer in the same way including capsicums but with no milk. Sometimes, I stuff for chapthi/tortilla and enjoy them as a roll.

Aparna, try crumbling more in coarse side and make sure while you crumble there is no water and drain it completely by leaving it on the strainer for sometime.Hope this will work 🙂

THANKS FOR THE DELICIOUS AND HANDY RECEIPES
Aiswarya Seshadri
Hi.. Have a doubt. Saw ur recipes kadai paneer, paneer bhurji & chilli paneer.. Basically felt all these needs no grinding, similar ingredients & process.. the way paneer is added to it differs with slight variations of sauce / masala.. is my understanding crct ?
Pls don mistake my question. Am asking this because if I try these recipes with roti, will it look like am making the same dish?
P.S: My hubby is fond of paneer dishes 😀
RAKS KITCHEN
HI Aiswarya,
Yes you are right, but I can tell you that all three will taste and smell different. Each has its own unique taste, flavor and texture too.
So try and see all the three and if you feel like that you can ask me 🙂 Anyways you may not make paneer everyday, so you can confidentally make each one at a time and let me know the feedback!
Aiswarya Seshadri

looks delicious..Does crumbled paneer turn dry and rubbery when you add while stove is still on? I have tried couple of times and grated paneer always turned dry...
Raks anand
If cooked for long time, it might, depends on the paneer brand too. Kohinoor works best. Try adding some cream towards end, it will be soft.
