Simple, easy rajma salad, using chitra rajma the salad is quick to prepare with simple ingredients available in an Indian kitchen. Best side in you lunch thali.
Last time during my grocery shopping, got rajma after a long gap. I always have chana in stock as I make chana masala often. But somehow rajma is not made as much as chana at home. Aj loves my Rajma pulao. It's just I forget to make it. I saw this organic chitra Rajma and wanted to try this variety. Tried sundal and salad and loved it. Don't make salad often, prefer sundal, but loved this simple one for a change. I am not a salad person if you follow me closely, you know that. But loved this 😉.
This salad is so easy and simple, perfect to match indian taste buds. Spicy, tangy with burst of flavour with the favorite combo of onion tomato coriander and lemon juice. which are the part of any chaat. While choosing rajma, make sure to choose the one that gets easily cooked soft. I find the dark coloured rajma we get here in Singapore takes too long to get cook. Yet inspite of how many whistles you give, it stays hard. So always go with lighter shades or the one with stripes over it. This variety gets cooked soft and perfect for any recipe, be it any gravy or sundal / salad.
