Sharjah shake recipe, sharjah milkshake

sharjah-shake-recipe
Sharjah shake is a milkshake with banana and chocolate drink powder as main ingredients. Kids would love it with chocolate and banana combo.
We used to make this in our childhood days with maltova. I have not tasted this sharjah shake in shops. But Vj have told few times about this drink and I have made few times too. But never clicked. This time when few bananas were about to go bad, I froze it to use later. I thought this time I will make this sharjah milkshake. This is a very easy and nice way to save the spoiling banana. Just peel and freeze in ziploc and later you can use for milkshake for thick and rich milkshakes without ice cream. This milkshake can be done with ice cream, but with frozen banana and cashewnuts, its already rich and thick, so no need to increase the calories on top of all the other ingredients.

SHarjah shake recipe

Ingredients

  • Banana, long variety – 1
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Bournvita or any chocolate drink powder- 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Cashew nuts – 5
  • Chocolate syrup 2 tsp

Method

  1. Place sliced frozen banana, cashews, sugar, bourvita, milk in blender.
  2. Blend well until banana gets ground well and you get a thick shake. To serve, take a chilled glass that is kept in freezer for 30 mins. Pour the chocolate syrup along the sides of the glass. Pour the milkshake in the glass.
  3. Sprinkle some more chocolate drink powder over it and garnish with cashew nuts.

Notes

  • Milk also should be chilled for thick milkshake. You can freeze milk instead of banana and use regular banana instead of frozen one.
  • A scoop of vanilla ice cream can be added in this milkshake as topping or while blending.
  • We like the cashews crushed coarsely in this milkshake. It will be nice to have some crunch in between drinking this milkshake.
  • You can use any chocolate drink powder like milo, maltova, ovaltine etc.
