Grape granita recipe

  • 2 cups Red grapes
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water


  • First make simple syrup by heating water and sugar in a pan. Stir over heat, just to dissolve the sugar. Cool down completely.
  • Place cleaned grape in a blender and puree it.
  • Filter it through a metal strainer.
  • In a freezer safe glass bowl, pour the strained grape juice and the sugar syrup. mix well.
  • Keep inside freezer for an hour. 
  • Take out after an hour and scrape the sides. Put back in freezer and repeat the same process for 2 more times.
  • Later freeze it more hours until hard ice is formed, scrape using fork to get perfect texture of granita. 


  • While scraping granita, use fork only over the top. Do not dig deep. This way, you get perfect fine granita.
