Dahi Papdi chaat recipe

Dahi papdi chaat is a no onion no garlic chaat recipe, delicious with sweet chutney, green chutney, sweetened dahi (curd) and sev.

  • 18 Papdi 
  • 1 Potato Boiled, cubed
  • 1 cup Curd plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Sev or as needed
  • ¼ cup Green chutney or as needed
  • ¼ cup Red chutney or as needed
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder or as needed
  • 2 teaspoon Chaat masala or as needed
  • ¼ cup Coriander leaves chopped


  • Gather all the ingredients. Whisk curd, salt and sugar together smoothly.
  • In the serving plate, first arrange the papdis.
  • Top with 2 cubes of potatoes on each papdi.
  • Add a tablespoon of sweetened curd over each. Add a dash of both green and red chutneys over it.
  • Sprinkle red chilli, chaat masala a pinch each over.
  • Top with a teaspoon of sev over it. Garnish with coriander leaves.


You can add pomegranate, finely chopped mango over this. I personally don’t prefer raw onion in any chaat that has curd in it. So if you like that, you can add finely chopped onions too.
