Servings: 4

  • ½ cup Orzo pasta
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Condensed milk
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • 3 cup Water
  • Salt - a pinch
  • 1 Cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee
  • 6 Cashews

  • Bring 3 cups of water to boiling in a vessel. Add orzo, salt to it and cook for 10 mins.
  • Simmer for 4 mins in low flame to make it more soft.
  • Add sugar, boil of 2 mins.
  • Add condensed milk and milk.
  • Boil furthermore in medium flame or low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame, add powdered cardamom and broken cashews fried in ghee until golden and crisp. Mix well.

  • Use heavy bottomed pot and stir frequently after the pasta gets cooked as the starch could make it burn at the bottom of the vessel.
  • Adding salt is optional, I always add a pinch to my sweets as only sugar is flat for me.
  • You can reduce sugar and condensed milk to 3 tablespoon instead of ¼ cup if you are not fond of sweet.
