Tahini is made with just sesame seeds as main ingredient. It's really easy to prepare at home.
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp oil sesame or olive
- Salt as needed
Roast sesame until it starts to pop. Take care not to burn the sesame seeds. Lower flame as it starts to pop.
Once it starts turning golden, remove in a plate for cooling.
Grind to a powder first after cooling down. Make sure to wipe the sides for even powdering.
Add oil and grind smoothly. Wipe the sides couple of times to ensure smoothly.
Transfer to a clean bottle and store in fridge.
