  • 6 Bread slices
  • 1 cup peas
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt as needed

Spice powders

  • teaspoon Turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon Amchoor
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon Fennel
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander
  • ½ teaspoon Chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala

  • First wash, pressure cook peas with ¼ cup water for 1 whistle. I did directly in a small pressure cooker. You can force release pressure to retain green.
  • Drain water once done.
  • In a pan, heat oil, add cooked peas to it. Sprinkle required salt and all spice powders.
  • Mash well to mix everything and the mixture is dry.
  • In a shallow bowl, keep bow of water. Take a edges trimmed bread.
  • Give a quick dip on either side. Now squeeze the extra water.
  • Place about 1 to 1 & ½ tablespoon of peas mixture. Cover from all sides.
  • Pinch together all the ends. Squeeze out any extra water and make sure to shape and seal as you do it.
  • Repreat to finish.

  • Dry bread might break, so use soft bread.
  • If oil is too hot, bread will burn fast, so let it be in low or medium.
