Mango thogayal recipe
Mango thogayal is a tasty accompaniment for rice or idli dosa. When mangoes are in season, do try it for it's flavor and lovely color.
Servings: 3 people
- ½ cup Grated coconut
- ¼ cup Chopped mango kili mooku/ ottu manga
- 5 Green chilli
- 3 Garlic small variety
- ½ cup Coriander leaves
- ⅛ teaspoon Asafoetida
- Salt As needed
- 1 teaspoon Oil
- ½ teaspoon Mustard
- 1 Red chilli
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
Divide the mango into two and take out the seed and hard part.
wash well and chop into small cubes roughly.
Grind with all the other ingredients in the first table with very little water.
The ground mixture should be little coarse in texture and not smooth.
Transfer to serving bowl and temper with the items given under ‘To temper’ table.
- Instead of coriander, you can use mint leaves.
